After being eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing Danny John-Jules has thanked his dance partner Amy Dowden.
The star had made headlines after it was reported that the pair had a row during training on Wednesday. On Monday, Danny tweeted: “I should have expressed my gratitude more often. You truly inspired me.”
Danny was dancing against Graeme Swann, who is a former cricket player and his dance partner Oti Mabuse. Only one of the judges had chose to save the actor.
Unfortunately, on Saturday Danny and Amy had finished bottom of the leaderboard for the second week running. Craig Revel Horwood chose to save the pair, saying: “Just for sheer level of difficulty and who I think is the best dancer – that is Danny and Amy.”
However, it was Darcey Bussell, Bruno tonioli and Shirley Ballas who is the head judge all voted for Graeme and Oti, which meant that Danny and Amy missed out on the trip to Blackpool.
“It’s been a great experience and I’m just so unhappy I didn’t get Amy to where she needed to be,” Danny said afterwards.
